Juma Jux reacts to claims he fathered child with Tanzanian woman

Tanzanian singer Juma Jux has broken his silence over reports claiming that he fathered a child with a Tanzanian woman, describing the allegations as false and urging the public to allow the matter to be handled by the appropriate authorities.

In a statement, Jux said he had been following the issue calmly but decided to speak out after the allegations began affecting his family, business, reputation and the people close to him.

He said the claims had surfaced before and that he had personally contacted the woman involved to establish the basis of the allegations.

According to Jux, the woman, identified as Musika, previously told him that she had never been physically intimate with him and had no romantic relationship with him, and had never asked him to give her money.

Jux said the matter had now taken a different direction and was in the hands of the relevant authorities for investigation.

He urged the media and individuals to refrain from spreading misleading information that could cause further harm.

“I have built my name, my brand and my businesses over many years through hard work, discipline and immense dedication. Therefore, anyone who chooses to associate my name, my family or my businesses with false allegations must be prepared to be held accountable in accordance with the law,” he said.

The singer added that he had chosen to remain calm and pursue the matter through appropriate legal channels.

Jux’s reaction comes days after he and his wife, Nigerian actress Priscilla Ojo Mkambala, celebrated the first birthday of their son, Rakeem.
